What It Does
Ask Anything lets you query the ThinkKits database using plain English. Type a question like "Which Title I schools in Texas have FRL rates above 80%?" and the AI queries 105,000+ school records, returning data-backed answers with citations to source records.
Follow-up questions are supported, so you can drill deeper into any answer. Charts are generated automatically when the data warrants visualization.
Who It's For
All users who want quick answers without navigating through multiple tools. Especially useful for researchers exploring data patterns and educators who need a fast answer for a meeting or report.
How to Use It
- Open Ask Anything from the sidebar under the AI Tools section.
- Type your question in plain language in the input field.
- Review the AI-generated answer, which includes data tables and charts when relevant.
- Check the citations at the bottom of the answer to verify source data.
- Ask follow-up questions to refine or deepen the analysis.
- Export the answer as PDF or copy the data table to your clipboard.
Tips
- Be specific. "Schools in Houston with enrollment over 500 and FRL above 75%" gets better results than "big needy schools in Texas."
- Ask comparative questions. "How does Lincoln Elementary compare to the district average on equity scores?" works well.
- Use this tool for quick lookups before diving into specialized tools for deeper analysis.
