State Assessment Data

Student proficiency data from 24 state assessment systems — identify struggling schools and target intervention-ready districts.

What Is State Assessment Data?

ThinkKits ingests student proficiency results from state-mandated assessments in our initial 5 states. This data shows what percentage of students at each school are scoring at or above proficiency in math and reading/ELA — the key indicator of academic need and intervention opportunity.

Data Points Available

For each school:

How to Use It

  1. Search for any school in a covered state
  2. Open the school profile
  3. Click "Assessment Data" or "Student Performance" tab
  4. View proficiency rates by grade and subject
  5. Compare against state and district averages

Key Use Cases

Identify Struggling Schools

Filter for schools with <30% proficiency → these are prime targets for intervention materials and supplemental instruction.

Target Intervention-Ready Districts

Districts with declining scores + available Title I funding = highest purchase likelihood.

Grant Justification

Use proficiency data in needs assessment sections of grant applications (our templates have fillable data fields).

Vendor Sales

Show a principal their exact proficiency gap → demonstrate how your product addresses it.

Benchmark & Compare

Compare a school against peers (same size, same FRL rate) to identify over- and under-performers.
