What It Does
The Grant Writer helps you draft funding applications by combining pre-built program templates with real data from your school. Instead of starting from a blank page, you get narrative language populated with actual enrollment numbers, FRL rates, and demographic data from NCES.
It includes templates for Title I, IDEA, E-Rate, and other federal programs. A built-in compliance checklist ensures your application covers every required element before submission.
Who It's For
Educators, grant writers, and district administrators who write funding applications. Especially useful for schools without dedicated grant staff who need to produce compliant applications efficiently.
How to Use It
- Open Grant Writer from the sidebar under the Funding Suite.
- Select a program template (e.g., Title I Part A, IDEA Part B, E-Rate Category 1).
- Enter your school name or NCES ID to load its data into the template.
- Review the auto-generated justification language. School data is highlighted in context.
- Edit any section directly in the editor to add local context or adjust language.
- Run the compliance checklist to verify all required sections are complete.
- Export as DOCX or PDF for submission.
Tips
- Always add local context the AI cannot know, such as specific programs you are running or community partnerships.
- Use the compliance checklist before every export. It catches missing sections that reviewers flag.
- Pair this tool with the Justification Builder for even stronger data-backed language in key narrative sections.
Plan Required
Professional ($249/mo). Templates are viewable on Starter, but AI-generated content and export require Professional.
