How to Use the School Profile

Comprehensive view of any school with demographics, funding, performance, and more.

What It Does

The School Profile pulls together data from 16 categories for any of the 105,000+ schools in the ThinkKits database. You get demographics, FRL rates, Title I status, expenditures, equity scores, proficiency data, and staff metrics in one view, powered by NCES, CRDC, and state data sources.

Every data point links back to its source, so you can verify numbers and cite them in applications or reports.

Who It's For

Everyone. Educators use it to understand their own school. District administrators compare schools. Vendors research target accounts. Researchers access clean, sourced data without scraping multiple government sites.

How to Use It

  1. Open School Profile from the sidebar under School Intelligence.
  2. Search by school name, NCES ID, or location in the search bar.
  3. Review the KPI cards at the top showing enrollment, FRL rate, per-pupil expenditure, and equity score.
  4. Scroll through data sections organized by category: demographics, funding, performance, staffing, and more.
  5. Click any data point to see its source and last-updated date.
  6. Use the "Export" button to download the profile as PDF or CSV.
