How Our Data Works
ThinkKits operates two separate Neo4j knowledge graph databases that connect via state and framework codes — but they never share behavioral data.
- Schools Database: Contains 105K+ schools and 18K+ districts with demographics, Title I status, board activity, and purchasing history — all sourced from public federal data (NCES, USASpending, EDGAR, EDEN).
- Curriculum Database: Contains curriculum standards, funding program rules, allowable uses, scoring criteria, and legal authorities — sourced from state departments of education and federal agencies.
- The Connection: The knowledge graph links schools to eligible funding programs, curriculum alignments, and opportunities by traversing relationships across both databases. This intelligence is powered by public data relationships — not by tracking what educators do on the platform.
When vendors see intelligence about schools, it comes from the same public sources educators use. The graph finds opportunities by connecting public data points — it does NOT expose educator behavior to vendors.

Student Data & NDPA Alignment
No FERPA-protected student data of any kind is collected, stored, or processed on this platform. All data is aggregated at the school or district level from public sources. We do not collect student PII, behavioral data, or individual records. ThinkKits aligns with the SDPC National Data Privacy Agreement v2.1 — districts may request co-signature at no charge.
